CMAT – The Jamie Oliver Petrol Station
CMAT– the Irish songstress who has recently made waves online with her song “Take A Sexy Picture Of Me” – today returns with new single “The Jamie Oliver Petrol Station”, a transcendental new indie-krauty-campy-stomp that, on the surface, reads as a diss track to Jamie Oliver, but is in fact about the realization that hatred serves no purpose to anyone. Got it?
It’s the third single from her new album EURO-COUNTRY, which is set for release on August 29 via AWAL Recordings.
Next week, CMAT will perform on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury – 1.30pm BST set time on Friday June 27th.
On The Jamie Oliver Petrol Station – CMAT says:
“The whole point of the song is actually my annoyance and intolerance and hatred of other people serves absolutely no purpose in my life and is a really bad instinct that I have. So it’s actually a love song for Jamie Oliver, if you think about it. It’s me being like ‘don’t be a bitch and stop judging people for annoyances”
