Following the release of the teaser single ‘So Sick’ earlier in the year, Philadelphia-based alt-trio Caring Less are back as they unveil their second EP, Whatever You Want.

Whatever You Want

Making a name for themselves across their local scene, the group heads into the summer looking to expand their reach with a tour of the Northeast.

Compiling their distinctive alt-pop and indie glow, the second EP from Caring Less brings both an alluring, raspy catharsis and a magnetic indie pull. Featuring sticky melodies and post-punk tinged toplines, the four-track is a testament to the group’s slick approach to music-making. Laced with grit, the EP offers a brooding, authentic insight into Caring Less’s textured creative processes, looking to further cement themselves as unadorned newcomers.

Speaking about the EP, the group explain “We wrote the songs on the “Whatever You Want” EP together to capture the tensions of love and loss that we’ve experienced individually and collectively through our mid-20’s; we brought these songs to the Philadelphia recording institution Headroom Studios to help us continue evolving our soulful and dreamy rock and roll sound.”

Hailing from Philadelphia, Caring Less are a fast-rising indie band with a vibrant passion for nostalgic grooves and hard-hitting melodies. Taking cues from the likes of Alanis Morissette and Jeff Buckley, the band are no stranger to gracing local stages, having featured regularly on the circuit as well as appearing on their local radio stations RSD release, ‘Homegrown Originals’.

Working hard to become staples of the Philadelphia scene, the group consists of lead singer Sara Johnson, bassist Ryan Acito and drummer Nicholas Kreh. Looking forward to the summer of 2025, the group are set to release their new EP on May 30th.
