Jake & Shelby – Loophole

Today, Nashville-based pop duo Jake & Shelby released the radiant new single, “Loophole,” via EMPIRE Nashville, which wrestles with the emotional walls and hesitation to fully trust again.
With soaring melodies and catchy hooks as Shelby sings: “I think I’m done being cynical. Mastered the art of the push & pull,” the new single perfectly captures the scary but special feeling of opening yourself up to love again.
On the making of “Loophole,” Jake & Shelby shared: “During a writing session in LA, we got on the topic of what it’s like to feel ready to love again. How whenever you’ve come out of relationships that let you down, it’s hard not to expect the same thing out of a new relationship and it almost feels stupid to let yourself trust someone again. We wrote this song about getting to a place where you can’t find the loophole in someone even if you try and slowly feel ready to love again.”
