Timea – Waiting For Magic

Following on from the release of the ‘perception of you’ EP toward the end of 2024, TIMEA returns for the new year with her latest single, ‘waiting for magic’. Quickly climbing the ranks, she looks to leave a lasting impression on 2025 as she gears closer to releasing her debut album.

With a driven acoustic guitar pushing the single to life, TIMEA fuses alt-pop with acoustic folk in her introspective new single. Drawing on the encompassing tendencies of a new-found romance, the single blends ethereal melodies and lo-fi, sticky refrains with TIMEA’s distinctive alternative flavour.

“’waiting for magic’ is a dive into falling in love and confessing to surrender. I tried to capture the sense of peace and something surreal that surrounds new love. I had quite a hard time for a while due to a family tragedy and falling in love kind of reminded me that there is still so much magic in the world. It was/is the best reminder I could get and I just really wanted to capture that in the song.” 

TIMEA is an indie singer-songwriter who hails from between the bustling cities of New York and Bratislava. Born in the picturesque landscape of Slovakia, TIMEA laces her sound with a fresh breeze and a cosy undertone. Since debuting in 2020, she has caught the attention of national radios, who quickly established her as a rising star.
