Noga Erez – The Vandalist
Alt-pop songstress Noga Erez has announced her eagerly awaited third studio album, The Vandalist, arriving Friday, September 20.
The announcement arrives alongside her latest single, “PC People (Ft. ROUSSO),” available now via Neon Gold/Atlantic Records. An official music video – co-starring producer/collaborator ROUSSO and directed by the brilliant Indy Hait.
“‘PC People’ asks uncomfortable questions of ‘woke’ culture’s drift towards hypocrisy,” shares Erez. “Despite its confrontational nature, the track is characteristically nuanced, playful and tongue and cheek as illustrated by a question towards its end: ‘What you gonna say when you can’t say anything you wanna say?’ Considering herself liberal, on the progressive side of society, Erez finds it also raises questions and concerns. Has this phenomenon crossed the line so artists can’t express themselves because of, say, a specific word that’s not considered politically correct? Can woke culture be misused, abused, and used as a way to hurt other people? Are we limiting our ability to share thoughts, have constructive dialogue, create art and use humor?”
“This video for ‘PC People’ was created by our talented friend and frequent collaborator, Indy Hait,” Erez shared. “With his unique and genius style, he helped Ori and me explore our feelings as humans navigating through the extremely scrutinizing world of political correctness. We chose imagery that made us laugh and paid homage to a few films we love that address similar themes.”
The Vandalist also includes the recently released singles “Vandalist” and “Come Back Home,” both of which are joined by official “Against The Machine (Live)” performance videos.
