Ilona – Feel

The transformational power of a love so intense that it sets fire to fear is the theme of “Feel,” a provocative new single from Los Angeles-based pop artist Ilona. “I want it to burn,” she proclaims in the opening line. And burn it does, as persuasive vocals fuel the heat of alluring desire. “Spark turns to flame, then to fire, then to love,” she testifies. With glistening harmonies arching skyward, the stinging punctuation of a bluesy electric guitar mirrors the intensity of Ilona’s mesmerizing vocals.

Penned by Ilona with ethereal multi-tracked backing vocal layers – the message of “Feel” embraces an unapologetic pledge of sensual liberation. “Exposing yourself to that fear and vulnerability of falling for someone,” explains Ilona. “It makes you brave — to feel is to live.” The track emanates a seductive vibe throughout as Ilona explores the intoxication of love and ignites a passionate longing that will burn deep within the listener’s soul. “This song is about surrendering to your emotions and allowing yourself to fall for someone,” Ilona adds. “Feel” takes the listener on a journey where sparks of attraction turn into flames of yearning, ultimately blazing into the all-encompassing fire of love.

Ilona’s musical trek is as intriguing as her music. Of Ukrainian and Russian descent, she grew up in a small Minnesota town and eventually made the life-changing move to Los Angeles following the pandemic, on the advice of her mother. Music became her solace and a means to process her thoughts through songwriting. Ilona’s fierce femininity shines through in her songwriting, which is evident in her previous singles “Talk to My Body” and “For You,” as well as her latest release, “Feel.” Through relatable lyrics and her powerhouse vocals, Ilona explores her romantic relationships and her relationship with herself.
