Vanessa Bedoret – Transition

French experimental violinist Vanessa Bedoret has released another sneak peak at her forthcoming album Eyes, due out on 8th of March 2024 via Scenic Route.

Eyes

The new track “Transition” sets an atmospheric stage for the album, melancholic droning violins over a thudding drum beat, industrial glitches careening past the listener’s ears.

“Transition” leaves the listener feeling uneasy and heartbroken, in a transitional state. The track begins with a lonesome, hypnotic beat, vibrating continuously as the violins fade in, beckoning the listener to be enveloped by the crescendoing drone, only to leave them alone again with the thudding drum, now twisted and glitched. The 4th track on the album, “Transition” acts as an interlude, a liminal space at the half-way point of the album. There is no rest here, the track is saying, keeping you on the back foot.
