British-American singer-songwriter Isabella Kensington unveils her EP, not in a dollhouse anymore, a reflective and deeply personal collection of tracks that chronicle the transformative stages of her life over the past few years. The EP further cements Kensington’s signature “healing girl pop” sound, blending catchy melodies with introspective lyrics that offer solace and empowerment.

Not In A Dollhouse Anymore

Each song on not in a dollhouse anymore represents a pivotal moment in Kensington’s journey, showcasing her evolution as both an artist and a person. With a sound that is both contemporary and timeless, she continues to resonate with a growing fanbase who connect with her raw authenticity and emotional depth.

“This EP is the rollercoaster of the last few years of my life. There are stories of heartbreak, love, desperation, empowerment, and every song symbolizes a pivotal moment for me,” shares Kensington. Adding, “This project means a lot to me. It’s been a couple of years since my last EP, and so much has changed. I graduated high school, moved to New York alone, started attending university, met new people, and left some behind. I experienced emotion after emotion, and telling these stories got me through each day.”

The focus track “row 22” is a delicate, introspective ballad.

According to Kensington the song “is truly for best friends. There’s nothing quite like escaping the craziness of life with your partner in crime by your side. I hope everyone finds friendships that feel like ‘golden skies’.”

The EP also features previously released singles “in another life,” “all the best,” and “loves me like L.A.,” which together have amassed over 150K streams and received praise from 1883 Magazine, Sweety High, The Honey Pop, and landed her on the cover of Spotify’s Fresh Finds Pop playlist. The singles captivated listeners with Kensington’s signature blend of catchy melodies, heartfelt instrumentation, and unfiltered storytelling.
