horsegiirL – Hardcore Healing

The world’s first half-horse, half-human singer-songwriter, DJ, producer, spiritual guide, and proud country girl horsegiirL announces her new EP HARDCORE HEALING, arriving October 30th via horsegiirL/RCA Records.

Alongside the announcement, she unveils its first single, “c*ntry girl rock,” featuring Dylan Brady, an ecstatic, high-energy anthem celebrating country girls everywhere.
If horsegiirL’s acclaimed debut album NATURE IS HEALING invited listeners to reconnect with nature and the rhythms that unite all living beings, HARDCORE HEALING pushes that journey onto the dancefloor. Rooted in the euphoric energy of hardcore, happy hardcore, and early European rave culture, the EP explores healing not through stillness, but through movement, release, rage, joy, and collective catharsis.
“I really wanted to do a puzzle piece that completes the album and can sit more in the club space,” says horsegiirL. “It still has the hopeful, euphoric energy of the album, but translated into a dancefloor anthem record.”
For horsegiirL, hardcore is about more than just BPMs. “Hardcore is a term that’s quite multifaceted,” she explains. “It’s intense music, but it’s also a profound love, loyalty, and appreciation for something. Paired with healing, these two things seem opposite at first, but they actually belong together.”
Lead single “c*ntry girl rock”embodies that spirit. Written with producer Dylan Brady, the track transforms horsegiirL’s playful vision into a larger-than-life rave anthem. “I wanted to make a song that’s an anthem for all the country girls,” she says. “There is a lot of city girl music and not enough country girl music.”
Throughout HARDCORE HEALING, horsegiirL embraces a side of healing often overlooked. Where NATURE IS HEALING focused on reconnection, reflection, and the wisdom of the natural world, this new project acknowledges anger, intensity, and transformation as equally necessary forces.
“Part of healing is embracing anger and rage and releasing that in a productive way,” she explains. “We aren’t always calm, collected, zen beings. Nature isn’t either. The ocean can become wild and stormy before returning to calm. We need that duality.”
The EP also marks horsegiirL’s continued exploration of the hardcore lineage that has influenced her work since the beginning. Drawing inspiration from the utopian spirit of 1990s and early-2000s European rave culture, HARDCORE HEALING looks back to a time when dancefloors were built around connection, euphoria, freedom, and collective dreaming.
“It’s inspired by the era of Love Parade and what felt like the age of ecstasy,” she says. “People dressed in colorful outfits, and it was really about love, connecting, and dreaming up a better world.”
HARDCORE HEALING arrives just months after horsegiirL released her debut album NATURE IS HEALING, a 15-track manifesto that transformed dance music into a vehicle for connection, ecological awareness, and collective awakening. Created alongside collaborators including A.G. Cook, Casey MQ, Nomak, Margo XS, Elof Loelv, FREE Jimi, Suena, and Luvhunter, the album earned praise for its blend of euphoric dance-pop, hard club music, balearic grooves, and new-age experimentation.
Since the album’s release, horsegiirL has continued her remarkable ascent with breakout appearances at Coachella, Lollapalooza South America and Chicago, New York Fashion Week, Spotify’s Best New Artist celebration, and Cultured Magazine’s CULT100, while expanding her universe far beyond the club. This fall, she brings her NATURE IS HEALING live experience across North America and Europe, including headline dates at New York’s Terminal 5, Toronto’s History, London’s O2 Academy Brixton, and Berlin’s Huxleys. Last week she opened for Robyn at the Los Angeles Forum, and returned to the state at Portola Festival in San Francisco.
For horsegiirL, however, the Year of the Horse is far from over.
