Imogen Valentine – Same Font Different Man

London-born, NYC-based dream pop artist and songwriter Imogen Valentine releases “Same Font Different Man” today, with an accompanying music video.

“Same Font” follows Imogen’s Little Miss Optimist EP, which has already surpassed 200,000 organic streams after its release earlier this year.  Following this release, Imogen will be gearing up for the Little Miss Optimist Deluxe EP, out later this year.

On the making of the song, Imogen says: “I was having a conversation with a few friends about some of the similarities we’d noticed in the behavior of guys we’d dated. Even though each situation was uniquely different in so many ways, there were these common denominators and patterns that kept coming up. That’s where the concept was born. Even though the song is very real to me, I still wanted it to be tongue in cheek and fun, without veering into ‘all men are horrible’ territory because that’s not how I feel.”

Based in New York City, London-born singer-songwriter Imogen Valentine blends dream pop with intimate lyricism, creating songs that offer cinematic glimpses into a nostalgia-tinged inner world. Growing up in a Hispanic household, she was immersed in its warmth and vibrant musical traditions, allowing these influences to quietly shape her artistry and creative voice.

A recipient of the Abe Oleman Scholarship from the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Imogen graduated from NYU’s Clive Davis Institute with a BFA in Recorded Music and a minor in Spanish. Her debut EP, Ouch! (2024), marked her arrival as a fresh voice with a sharp lyrical perspective. The arrival of her sophomore EP, Little Miss Optimist (2026), has already surpassed 200,000 organic streams, building anticipation for the EP’s deluxe edition later this year.
