YEAH YEAH YEAHS – Hidden in Pieces Live at the Royal Albert Hall
Yeah Yeah Yeahs today announced Hidden in Pieces Live at the Royal Albert Hall, a new live collection capturing the band’s celebrated performance in London from the 2025 “Hidden in Pieces” tour, where their intimate theater dates showcased the band like you’ve never seen them before.
Rare deep cuts alongside reimagined classics were accompanied by acoustic guitars, strings, and piano arrangements, Rolling Stone said “it’s a bare-naked revelation of the intimacy and emotion that has always been there.”
The digital version of the album, featuring 13 tracks recorded live at the historic venue, is available today.

About the live album, Karen O says, “Hidden in Pieces Live at the Royal Albert Hall was born out of a need to commune with our band and fan family in 2025, after the election. In the past, YYYs haven’t often chosen when to be back at it and out there, it often chooses us. It, being the times. We turn to live music when we need that specific quality of depth and light to see us through the times.
We worked on these arrangements in February of ’25 at Sonic Ranch in an impossibly small window of time. Our string arranger Jherek Bischoff dove straight into the deep end with us as we arranged almost 24 songs for a quartet and acoustic instrumentation in less than a week. The stakes were high, The Royal Albert Hall was the 3rd play of the tour, most of this record is live from the hall. It was our first time performing there and the hype leading up to it was overwhelming, but ladies and gentleman we believe the hype now we’ve done it. The pipe organ moment in Skeletons was no less than immaculate vibrations. We felt the spirits of all legends past swirling around us. Nick remarked that he felt as though his fingers were guided on the guitar neck. The real alchemy happened when we played the hall, it clicked into place. All the shows we performed on this small tour were extraordinarily vulnerable. We hope that translates.
Also arriving today on Criterion Channel is Hidden in Pieces, a 22-minute visual companion-piece to the live record.
The black and white short film is directed by award-winning filmmaker Barnaby Clay, who previously directed the Mick Rock documentary Shot! and horror film The Seeding. The film will get a double feature theatrical release where it will be screened in select venues in the UK, Australia and US and followed by a film of the band’s choosing. “Thanks to all the fans in attendance who’s frequency lives on this record, and thanks to the fans who continue to make our music possible. Thanks also to David Lynch for his everything. His passing came a month before we began this journey and the performance begins with an ode to his legacy.”
Clay says, “I wanted to create a film that not only captured the live performance but also felt close to the spirit of what the band was going for with their shows; something delicate and dream-like, like a precious memory, timeless, emotionally charged and shrouded in mystery.”
The special live session was recorded at the legendary Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles at the end of the band’s recent 25th anniversary tour. Hidden in Pieces was produced by Lana Kim and Jett Steiger, via production company Ways & Means and made in collaboration with Dropbox.
