Sassy 009 ft Blood Orange – Tell Me (Jam City Remix)

Sassy 009 by Andreas Bjørseth

Sassy 009 shares the first remix from her upcoming Dreamer+ deluxe album courtesy of Jam City. Jam City takes on album highlight “Tell Me” (ft. Blood Orange) and transforms it into a skippy breaks track primed for smokey dancefloors.

Sassy 009’s Dreamer+ album received critical-acclaim earlier this year. The upcoming deluxe album is slated for release on October 16 and will feature some of Sassy 009’s closest friends and musical collaborators… with a few surprises thrown in.

Dreamer+ is Sassy 009’s true debut: a concept-driven album pieced together from nearly four years of studio effort, and an ambitious attempt to take complete control of her artistry. Steered by freshly distorted vocals and elements of grunge, shoegaze, ‘90s beatronica and gauzy hyperpop, the album is a record of self-discovery and self-effacement at once, Dreamer+ is work of fiction at its core, a grim fairytale in which dreams and emotions are processed through a landscape of shapeshifting characters, dark forces and moral responsibilities.

Over the past twelve months Sassy 009 has graced the cover of NME Magazine, sold-out London’s iconic Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA), released Live at BBC Maida Vale featuring live performances of “My Way” (Limp Bizkit cover), “Tell Me” and “Someone”, and will embark on her debut North America tour this Autumn.
