Tina – Tina

Today, the rising international superstar Tina (f/k/a HoodCelebrityy) released her self-titled debut album, Tina. The 16-track album features appearances from Lycinaïs Jean, Shatta Walle, and Stonebwoy. Tina also serves as the follow-up to her previously released project, Tina vs. Hoodcelebrityy. She kicked off the rollout of her album in a major way as the only female artist to perform at the inaugural Jamaican Day Parade earlier this month and in interviews with New York’s Power 105.1 and Jamaica’s Daytime Live.

The release of Tina’s self-titled debut album marks a significant chapter in her career as she makes the transition from HoodCelebrityy to Tina full-time. This change is not in the namesake only.  Her new sound, on tracks like “Peace of Mind” with Stonebwoy, paints a picture of vulnerability and the kind of authenticity that can only be earned through overcoming life’s deep challenges. Elsewhere on the album, tracks like “Pepsi,” “Round the World,” and DJ’s favorite “Malfunction” with Ne-Yo also show that Tina has not strayed too far from her dancehall roots. Her breakout hit titled “Walking Trophy” is also included on the album and remains a cultural landmark, having reached the top fifteen at Urban Radio and climbed to #23 at Rhythmic Radio.
