Crawlers – TURN OFF THE TV

Crawlers crown their triumphant return with the release of their new EP TURN OFF THE TV, alongside the yearning, rallying single ‘ALL WE HAVE IS US.

‘ALL WE HAVE IS US’ is the project’s emotional anchor; a suckerpunch of love that realises what’s truly important in this world, it’s not meaningless interactions with AI or endless nights spent lost to the scroll, but the people around us that make it all worthwhile.

Holly Minto explains, “it is all about feeling stuck in your head, being super tired of trying to “play it cool” and yearning for a sense of realness and human connection. If we isolate ourselves for the sake of nonchalant-ness we end up speaking to AI or just bottle everything up instead, rather than communicating with the only thing we have in the struggling state of modernity: each other.

“There’s this big question running through the song—if all we have is each other, why are we pushing away love when it’s the only thing that can actually help? It’s frustrating, and it feels like everyone’s running from love instead of embracing it.”

Crawlers, the UK rock trio of Holly Minto, Amy Woodall and Liv May have weathered a wild run of giddy victories and foundation-shaking difficulties that could have broken a less devoted band. Instead, Holly, Liv and Amy have come back tighter, more united and more certain of the space they want to create. “We don’t just want to be a band, we want to be a community,” says Holly. That sense of community has been central since their early days practising in a shed in Warrington and gigging around Liverpool, through the viral success of “Come Over (Again)”, their 2024 debut album The Mess We Seem To Make, magazine covers, worldwide tours and millions of streams. When they parted ways with their label and had to regroup, their fans became the anchor again. “The fans have always been the centre of everything we do,” says Liv, pointing to the letters and drawings that cover their rehearsal room walls from young people who have found solace in the band’s honesty.

That defiant spirit of strength and compassion runs through new EP TURN OFF THE TV, the start of a new era that finds Crawlers stripping things back to their core values while carrying the experience of half a decade inside the industry. “We had to completely rebuild our foundations and realise what made us want to do this to begin with,” says Holly, while Liv adds “everything we have been through has given us permission to be who we are unapologetically.”
