New York power pop outfit Joy Buzzer have released their new single, “She Said, She Said,” via Wicked Cool Records, taking on The Beatles’ psychedelic classic with the bright guitars, fuzzed-out energy, and melodic firepower that have quickly become the band’s calling card.
Originally released on The Beatles’ landmark 1966 album Revolver, “She Said, She Said” has always carried the raw materials of a great power pop song beneath its psychedelic surface: an undeniable melody, tightly wound hooks, punchy rhythmic shifts, and a restless sense of momentum. For Joy Buzzer, the song provides a natural meeting point between the melodic urgency of the ’60s and the louder, slightly ragged alternative edge that helped redefine guitar pop decades later.

Led by songwriter/guitarist Jed Becker and fronted by vocalist Kevin Lydon—who previously played together in NYC garage rock outfit The Lord Calverts—Joy Buzzer also features guitarist/singer Kg Noble, bassist/singer Nick DeMatteo, and drummer Mark Brotter.
Since signing with Wicked Cool Records, the band has made a significant impact at Little Steven’s Underground Garage on SiriusXM, with three Joy Buzzer tracks earning the station’s coveted “Coolest Song in the World” distinction.
