Maya Engen – Just My Luck

Rising soulful pop powerhouse Maya Engen unveils her debut EP Just My Luck, capping off a defining first chapter for the fast-rising singer/songwriter. Blending soulful pop melodies, expressive vocals, and smoky jazz attitude across six emotionally rich tracks, the project showcases Maya’s signature sound that feels both nostalgic and new.

The 6-song project features recent bubbling tracks, including “Fool,” “Jade,” “Midnight Blue,”  and “Mercury,” plus “Spend My Love” and focus track “Vinyl.”

About the song, Maya explains, “‘Vinyl’ is a funky, it-girl anthem about the girl everyone falls for but no one ever truly knows. I wrote it about my best friend—she’s magnetic, sharp, and I know her like the back of my hand. To everyone else, though, she’s impossible to read, keeping her cards close to her chest while everyone under her charm tries to guess the hand she’s holding.”

Building on a wave of early buzz, Maya has steadily emerged as an artist to watch over the past year, earning early recognition from the likes of HITS, Ones To Watch and Atwood Magazine, plus editorial support from a number of top playlists, including the cover of Fresh Finds, as well as Pop Sauce, Breakthrough Pop, Next Gen Singer Songwriters, and more.

To celebrate the release, Maya will make her New York City headline debut at Baby’s All Right on Wednesday, July 15th, marking another milestone in her momentous past year.
