Rivals – Bite The Bullet

Rivals by Tim Stevens

Today, hard-rock outfit Rivals announces their signing to Epitaph Records and share their latest single, “Bite The Bullet.”

With Kalie Wolfe and Josh Alves at the helm, Rivals craft an arena-ready sound pairing powerful vocals with meteoric drumming and seismic breakdowns, produced by Nevertel frontman Raul Lopez.

Wolfe shares, “Not only am I ecstatic to announce our signing with Epitaph, but I’m so excited to start a new chapter of RIVALS. Josh and I have been working endlessly over the last year to build an entire world for you. I truly couldn’t be more excited to have found that home with Epitaph.”

Building on the track’s apocalyptic tension, the video for “Bite The Bullet” surveys a foreboding coastal fortress as Wolfe prepares to fight for survival: “‘Bite The Bullet’ is the beginning of the war. The beginning of the fight to survive, not only personally but as people. Let’s be real; the world feels like it’s crumbling around us. There comes a point where protecting innocent people stops being a political issue and becomes a moral one.

“Let’s jump into another universe together. Let me show you what a God of War will do to protect the people they love.”

With 70M+ global catalog streams and a loyal and growing fanbase of over 635K followers across social platforms, Rivals carved their niche through captivating storytelling and an evolving sound. Formed in 2014, they quickly captured attention with their viral online presence with covers of rock hits like Twenty-One Pilots’ “Heathens.” They followed up with the release of their pop-rock debut album, Damned Soul (2018) and sophomore release Sad Looks Pretty On Me (2021), with explosive tracks “Fake Rich” featuring Elijah Witt and “Moonlit.” Rivals carried on with a string of singles and EPs that further expanded into the rock scene with the guitar-heavy “Dark Matter” and the synth-driven “When Does It End” off 2025 EP Medusa’s Home. Since then, the band has hit the road touring and has shared the stage with labelmates Parkway Drive, The Ghost Inside, and Nevertel at Shiprocked, as well as playing alongside rock heavyweights at Welcome to Rockville and Louder Than Life.
