Tasha – Quick!

Last month, Tasha announced her new LP You Are Spring! (June 26th via Bayonet).

The album is the New York-by-way-of-Chicago artist’s follow up to her celebrated 2024 LP All This And So Much More. It was announced with a pair of singles entitled “Spring,” which features guest vocals from L’rain and Jamila Woods, and “Clarion.”

Her latest album was written and recorded during her relocation from Chicago to New York, and amidst her Broadway debut in the Tony-nominated Sufjan Stevens musical Illinoise. It was tracked in Los Angeles, and produced with her frequent collaborator Gregory Uhlmann, who is known for his work with Miya Folick, Meg Duffy and Perfume Genius, and as a member of the group SML.

Today, Tasha is sharing a second single from the album, a track called “Quick!”

Tasha says of the track:

When writing the song on a warm day last June, I was thinking about how summer time always reminds me of every summer I’ve ever had. It’s a reflection on time and holding on to precious moments — but releasing scarcity. Every moment is precious but preciousness is abundant and never ending. A euphoric anthem for freedom, aliveness, play, connection, and lineage.

To coincide with the single’s release Tasha is announcing an NYC release show, and a wine tasting/listening event
