VANA – In Your Name
Auckland’s pop-tinged industrial metal vanguard, VANA has today released the official music video for her current single ‘In Your Name’, out now via Sumerian Records.
Arriving as the latest visual chapter in VANA’s expanding creative universe, the ‘In Your Name’ video pushes deeper into the lore and world-building first introduced in the official video for ‘Pray’. Where that clip opened the door into VANA’s dark, devotional world, ‘In Your Name’ steps further inside.
Since release a month ago, ‘In Your Name’ has already surpassed 500,000 streams, continuing the momentum behind VANA’s first wave of music for Sumerian Records. The track follows ‘Pray’, which has amassed over 3.7 million streams on Spotify alone and 672,000 YouTube views and counting.
Speaking on the track, VANA previously shared:
“Falling in love is painful. Where there is equal love, there will inevitably be equal loss. Sometimes you fall in love even when it hurts you. Sometimes, loving someone you know is bad for you hurts less than grieving the loss of that love.
“’In Your Name’ demonstrates how far some would go in the name of love, no matter how toxic that love may be.”
Adding further context to today’s video release, VANA goes on to share:
“The ‘In Your Name’ music video lives in that space where love and grief become indistinguishable. It explores the aftermath of love and when it decays. The video explores the anger and lingering tenderness that come with loss how we try to bury pain instead of facing it and how it inevitably resurfaces.”
The video lands as VANA’s first US headline run, ‘The Lady In Red Tour’, continues to build serious heat across North America. The tour has already sold over 15,000 tickets including sold out shows in Atlanta, Orlando, Philadelphia, New York, Washington DC, Boston, Cleveland, Chicago, Kansas City, Denver, Portland, Sacramento, Anaheim, Phoenix and Dallas as well as festival appearances on Warped Tour (DC, LB, Orlando), Louder Than Life Festival, Knotfest Mexico & is featured on the 2027 Shiprocked cruise line-up.
