Kid Sistr – American Teenage Prophecy

Kid Sistr by Tanner Deutsch

When vocalist-guitarist Sabel Englert confidently sings “Say that you’ll love me forever / And don’t you ever take it back” in the pre-chorus of “Maniac” – the new single from Kid Sistr out today – you can’t help but think you’ve been easily persuaded to do just that.

Additionally, Kid Sistr is thrilled to detail their forthcoming EP, American Teenage Prophecy, due May 13, 2026 via Giant Music.

American Teenage Prophecy

While reflecting on the song’s themes, the Los Angeles-based trio Englert fronts alongside bassist Sara Keden and drummer Becca Webster called the track “…a grungy head nodder with a scream along chorus. It’s the soundtrack to finally dumping him and swearing off men forever. Maniac can be used as an emergency intervention for when your friend keeps getting back together with *that* guy. Put it on volume 11 and repeat as needed.”

“Maniac” follows on the heels of the band’s recently released singles “American Teenage Prophecy” and “Shitshow.”

In anticipation of the EP release, the band will be supporting Wallice at Lodge Room in Los Angeles on April 2, before hitting the road with Kids That Fly and Post Sex Nachos, for dates across the midwest and additional stops in Atlanta, Knoxville and elsewhere.
