Baby J – The Fix

Today, rising artist Baby J releases her new single and video “The Fix.” This release follows Baby J’s EP 13:4 that she released back in 2024 and a single titled “Energy” with Troy MW released that same year. This latest single is a cheeky, genre-bending track with a snappy production. Directed by Zev York & Justin Joo, the visual shows Baby J exploring nature with her green side kick.

Baby J is a 25-year-old singer/songwriter raised in rural Wisconsin who started pursuing a career in music just a few years ago. Born Hailey Jean Rusch, her middle name is inherited from her grandmother and is where her nickname and artist stage name, Baby J, originated. Throughout the past few years exploring her sound, Baby J has lived in multiple cities outside of Wisconsin such as Atlanta, Miami and Los Angeles which have all influenced her music in different ways. She’s worked with the likes of BEAM and has had cuts with artists like Cardi B and Tyla.

Although starting out as a writer in service to other artists, Baby J’s goal has always been to release her own artist project (with influences as broad as Bon Iver to Jessie Reyez to The Grateful Dead). Gearing up to release her debut EP this year, Baby J is making music unlike anything in the market currently, Baby J is seamlessly blending genres of R&B, Folk, Pop and more into one cohesive record that sets her apart from the rest.
