Mechanical Woman – Curbside Diamonds

New York–based alternative artist Mechanical Woman transforms life’s unpredictability into haunting, unforgettable music – and her new single, “Curbside Diamonds.”

The track, which serves as the second single off of her upcoming LP Voice of an Old Soul, was inspired by a poignant moment:

“I was at a low point in life and came across a diamond watch, broken into pieces, on my way out of an event celebrating a high point in my dad’s life. When I got home, I wrote it all in one sitting – never changed a thing.The idea of this sparkle appearing at such a low point… it just needed to be put back together. I turned it into something beautiful – the watch and the song. My life picked up from there. I found myself wondering, ‘Who left that behind?’ ‘Was it meant for me to find?’ It certainly felt like it”.

Mechanical Woman’s approach to her craft is as unique as the little moments. She built her recording booth entirely from salvaged wood, creating a space that invites experimentation and lets her music breathe.
