Eli & Fur – Strange

Today, electronic duo, Eli & Fur (Eliza Noble and Jennifer Skillman), unveil their inaugural release of 2026, “Strange.”
Out now via [PIAS] Électronique, the track opens the portal to their sonic realm, diving into the labyrinth called love and arriving as the first from their upcoming EP, Dreams At Dusk Pt. II, set to drop May 29.
Trading their signature ethereal style for a darker more ominous sound, “Strange” is an exploration of love’s most poignant questions. Eli & Fur embark listeners on a sonic journey through sparkling synths, haunting melodies, and breathy vocals the track culminates with a synth-heavy crescendo to finish. Its pulsing heartbeat and remarkably atmospheric cadence make for a groove that’s as somber as it is irresistible. Daring to unearth secret truths, “Strange” is an emotionally charged confession – one that is honest, vulnerable, and intense.
From Eli & Fur: We wrote Strange on a piano in a San Rafael Airbnb, just the two of us, in the middle of the Dreams at Dusk West Coast tour. Watching the boats across the harbour as the fog rolled in, the song took shape in a moment where everything felt slightly unsteady but alive. Lyrically, “Strange” explores that feeling of being pulled toward something you don’t fully understand and the tension between wanting to run and wanting to get closer. It’s about questioning what’s real, what’s slipping away, and the thrill of the unknown.
Eli & Fur are more than just a DJ duo. Bound by a shared vision and years of collaboration, they continue to push the boundaries of electronic music through a deeply personal lens. Since emerging in 2013, they’ve built a sound defined by emotive vocals, cinematic synths and rolling basslines – a mix that feels both intimate and expansive. Their discography includes collaborations with Camelphat, MEDUZA, and Booka Shade, along with releases on their own label NYX Music and leaning imprints such as Crosstown Rebels, Ajunadeep, Cercle and Armada Deep. They’ve also remixed artists including Sasha, Bob Moses, ODESZA and Shouse, earning consistent support from the likes of Boiler Room and BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix.
