DomLand – Dipped In Black

Stepping back into the limelight with her first release since 2023, Canada-based artist DomLand is back with her latest EP, Dipped In Black, a heartfelt offering to honour her late partner, who passed away while she was pregnant. Wrapped up in grief, authenticity and a heartfelt soul-soaked attitude, Dipped In Black highlights the work of a fearless, inspired creative.

Kicking off with the ever poignant ‘Distance’, powerful vocal melodies hit the airwaves with strength and finesse. As ardent percussions come punctuated by gripping bass chords, the track serves as a powerful reminder of the ever-evolving nature of love – no matter the context. Flowing through to ‘Legacy’, a slick anthem, brimming with infectious harmonies and ethereal instrumentation, the EP rounds itself off with ‘Written in Stars’, the project’s closer.

Diving into the heartfelt nature of the release, the artist explains, “This project honours my late partner, Dip Black, who passed away while I was pregnant with our son. Though the journey has been painful, creating this music became a therapeutic way to process grief and transform it into something lasting.”
