TEII A VISION – IDLU

Tell A Vision by Tim Bruening2

Genre-bending, multifaceted writer, producer, and composer TEll A ViSiON (she/they) announces new single and video for “IDLU”, out now. Mixed by Dilip Harris (King Krule, Little Dragon).

With post-pop sonics, dub-infused bass lines, fuzz-filled guitars and piercing vocals, “IDLU” is a raw, visual and uncompromising track marking a new era for the formidable, Berlin-based artist. Echoing a former German teen saying of HGDGL, meaning “I like you very much”, the result is a sweet-and-stingy revelation; ‘I Don’t Like U.’ Instead of being hateful, it’s a statement of empowerment and freedom, the coded language keeping the teenage playfulness, but with added adult clarity, elegant rage delivered with a smile. “It’s about setting boundaries and feeling yourself again” she says.“cause if you know what you don’t like – you know better what you like”.

TEll A ViSiON creates time-bending sonics built from tension, truth, and raw emotion. Akin to Björk, Bowie and Peaches, she creates a visual world serving as an extension of the soundscapes, not as decoration, but as part of its meaning. The result is a distinctive world of sound, a visual, industrial blend of the familiar and the futuristic. Through deconstructed pop structures, raw energy and a distinct visual identity, she breaks familiar forms and rebuilds them into a new kind of pop vocabulary. “I am an explorer in sound, revealing what others missed or forgot. I am the trigger in a good way” TEll A ViSiON states.

With IDLU, TEll A ViSiON brings raw, guitar-driven post-pop that embraces confrontation, clarity and physical presence. For listeners drawn to the raw emotional charge and uncompromising performance of artists such as PJ Harvey, Anna Calvi, St. Vincent, and Yves Tumor, and additionally citing the likes of painters Basquiat, F. Bacon, or Cy Twombly. Known for her electrifying solo live shows, which channel a rebellious spirit into a fiercely contemporary sound, TEll A ViSiON has performed at The New Colossus Festival (NYC), SXSW, Pop-Kultur Berlin, La Casa Encendida (Madrid), Elbphilharmonie (Hamburg) and MeetFactory (Prague).

Her debut album was released on the legendary US label Feeding Tube Records (Thurston Moore, Guerilla Toss), while her self-titled album earned a rare 5/5 rating from Musikexpress. Her work has received acclaim from Rolling Stone, The Line of Best Fit, Wonderland, and METAL Magazine. She has released LPs and EPs via renowned labels including Bureau B, and Duchess Box Records.
