Montreal party punk duo DVTR are riding the waves with this upcoming video drop “Live on the Big Rusty Ferry.”
DVTR “Live on the Big Rusty Ferry” is a blistering live video filmed on, yep, a big rusty ferry, on the banks of the Saint Lawrence River in Montreal. Clocking in at a smidgen over a quarter of an hour, it features new live versions of bangers from the band’s BONJOUR (BIS) EP + 2025 Singles “Né Pour Flâner” & “Couleur Peau.” After two years of existence and crazy touring around the world, Demi Lune, Jean Divorce and their duo of masked « Lingus » met up on the banks of the St. Lawrence River for 17 minutes of live garage punk. A live performance to match their image – direct, incisive, and dynamic.
Since its creation in 2023, DVTR has definitely been shaking up the Canadian punk scene, racking up dazzling reviews, best of lists, soldout shows and some bootlicking awards for their first ever EP BONJOUR (Hello!). Somewhere between the B-52’s and Jay Reatard, the troublemaking French-speaking duo and its unpredictable antics breaks all language barriers, on stages worldwide, from Mexico to Japan. This is fast music: short and not sweet at all: it repeats, it repeats, it repeats – that’s the only way to get the message across.
