Damn Tall Buildings – Turkish Airlines

“We’re always evolving and changing as humans,” says Brooklyn-based trio Damn Tall Buildings, waxing on the meaning behind their latest single, “Turkish Airlines.”
“This song explores the sensation of being loved, but not being sure which version of you someone is loving.” “Turkish Airlines” showcases the sly and creative reimagining of big, real-life feelings fans have come to love from Damn Tall Buildings’ Avery Ballotta (violin, vocals), Max Capistran (guitar, banjo, vocals), and Sasha Dubyk (upright bass, vocals).
As is the case with the rest of their upcoming album, The Universe Is Hungry, “Turkish Airlines” showcases Damn Tall Buildings’ unique blend of Americana roots and contemporary style, forged from years of captivating audiences from intimate local venues to larger, global stages. Out October 24th, Damn Tall Buildings’ fourth full-length album explores the current-day world where technology overwhelms, memories blur, and meaning can feel elusive. Yet amid the uncertainty, the new album affirms a powerful truth: that love, laughter, music, and shared experience can anchor us all. Recorded at Capistran and Dubyk’s music school in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, and mixed and mastered by Dan Cardinal of Dimension Sound Studios, The Universe Is Hungry.
