Kleo – Boys

Copenhagen’s Kleo treats fans to a late-summer surprise with a new song and video, “Boys,” out now via Tambourhinoceros (Brimheim, Lucky Lo, School of X).
It follows her comeback single “Everything Everywhere at Once” from this May.
Kleo surrenders to desire on her new single “Boys.” The single arrives as a soundtrack to the last summer nights: dusty, warm, and full of longing. It also touches on the darker side of desire — where it doesn’t lead to real love, but repeating habits resulting in despair. Kleo’s flirtatious vocal carries “Boys” forward with the acoustic guitar, a bombastic beat, and playful synthesizers. The song’s contrasting structure and striking chorus unfold around her understated, cool vocal, which encapsulates desire like so:
“Lucid dreaming// Soft heartache // Long nights heavy breathing // Out on my misery // but with you I don’t mind what it does to me.”
“The real tragedy here is constantly chasing the romantic quick fix to escape your emptiness. The question I ask myself is: How do I want to act in this world? A world where you either pull the rug out from under others — or pull it out from under yourself,” Kleo says, and continues:
“‘Boys’ is the most unfiltered song I’ve ever written. It was written during a time when I was deeply aware of my own decadence. I was knowingly walking into the fire.”
Kleo spent all of 2024 in the studio and released the single “Everything Everywhere at Once” in spring 2025 — her first release since the debut EP I Love This Movie.
