Betty Who – Fabulous

Today, trailblazing singer-songwriter and actress Betty Who releases her witty & playful new single “Fabulous” out everywhere now via Firebird. Alongside the single comes a visually stunning music video, portraying the lavish highs and hollow lows of fame through a hyper-stylized lens.
Of the song, Betty Who says, “‘Fabulous’ is, in my opinion, one of my most fun songs to date. After taking myself annoyingly seriously for over a decade, it feels nice to let loose and be silly. This song came out of me attending a very fancy, upscale Hollywood party where I felt totally out of place. Everyone was air kissing and telling each other how fabulous they looked and I found myself just sort of…playing pretend. Like Sharpay Evans from High School Musical took over my body and was telling famous actors how much I loved their movie (that I never saw). I went to the studio the day after and wrote Fabulous! Reminding everybody, including myself, that sometimes all you can really do is fake it till you make it.”
“Fabulous” follows on the heels of “Sweat”, Betty Who’s recently released single capturing the feeling of losing yourself on the dancefloor to your favorite song.
Earlier this year, Betty shared “Run!”, her first new original single since 2022.
The single is a bold, celebratory track about finding your passion and “chasing something bigger than yourself,” shares Betty.
The last stop of her Out Of The Darkness summer tour, Betty Who will be performing with the LA Philharmonic on August 30th at The Ford in Los Angeles. The show is the only LA Philharmonic performance of the year at the venue. The performance is a rare opportunity to experience Betty’s music reimagined, swapping the pulsing synths of her pop records for the lush, expansive sound of a full orchestra. Betty shares, “As a former orchestra kid, I’m so excited about my upcoming show with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. To get a chance to perform some new and old music of mine with one of the greatest orchestras in the world will be a once in a lifetime experience!”
Additionally, Betty Who will play the role of Robert Martin in a one-night-only benefit concert of The Drowsy Chaperone at Carnegie Hall on October 20th. Directed by Tony nominee L. Morgan Lee and featuring an all-queer cast including Jonathan Van Ness, Laverne Cox, and Alex Newell, this landmark performance will open the Breaking the Binary Theatre Festival and support the organization’s mission to amplify trans, non-binary and gender nonconforming voices in theatre.
