MAREYA – I’m So Sorry

MAREYA

Rising pop artist MAREYA returns with her most vulnerable release yet, ‘I’m So Sorry’, a raw and emotionally charged follow-up to her debut single ‘ADHD & Me.’

The track marks the second instalment from her forthcoming EP Glitter Tears, and dives even deeper into the unfiltered realities of living with ADHD, anxiety, and depression.

Driven by gritty pop-rock energy and blistering honesty, I’m So Sorry is both a confession and a wake-up call, an anthem about how mental illness can fracture not only your sense of self, but the people closest to you. In it, MAREYA lays bare the pain of watching love unravel under the weight of internal battles, while holding tight to a flicker of hope and the will to heal.

“I’m So Sorry” is a raw, pop-rock anthem that is a wake-up call from the depths of depression and anxiety – a confession of how mental illness can drag down not only yourself, but the people you love. It’s messy, honest, and full of emotional fire, but it also ultimately carries a spark of hope and determination to change. It’s a song about finally understanding the impact of your pain, and choosing to fight your way back before it’s too late.”

MAREYA is a Maori powerhouse! A neurodivergent artist and songwriter known for her soaring vocals, raw lyricism, and magnetic emotional presence. With roots in alternative pop and echoes of early 2000s rock, her music speaks to those navigating identity, survival, and the messiness of mental health, always with a glimmer of glitter and fire. Her debut, ADHD & Me, was a breakout moment, hailed for its vibrant honesty and powerful message of self-acceptance.

With I’m So Sorry, she expands that emotional universe, crafting a song that’s messy, tender, and ultimately transformative. It’s not just an apology, it’s a turning point.

The single lands on all platforms on the 8th of August, continuing MAREYA’s mission to create space for neurodivergent and queer voices in pop music and to remind listeners that healing, though hard, is possible.
