Annahstasia – Be Kind

Today, burgeoning folk star Annahstasia shares a new music video for “Be Kind”, the opening track of her critically-acclaimed debut album Tether.
The new visual stars Annahstasia and Brighton Alfred, and was directed by P. Carter for @160bpmfilms.

Speaking about the visual, director P. Carter says, “It was a rare and cherished privilege to lens ‘Be Kind,’ a trust Annahstasia extended to us with great care. What first struck me about the song was its stillness— the space where memory and sensation could take shape. That’s where the images found me. The short film is a meditation on the soul’s journey, on love that transcends lifetimes. Told through parallel storylines, past and present, it explores the possibility that some bonds are eternal. We shot in Paris, a city that haunts as much as it romances. Film became our language for time. Memory was held in the grain of 16mm, shot on a 1974 vintage Bolex by Victor Zynski. The Alexa 35’s soft, organic color science allowed us to capture the warmth and tenderness of the present, and the gentle strength of Annahstasia’s performance. The visual language became a mirror of the song—its poetry and longing, a humble offering to what love leaves behind, and what it might return to.”
On June 28th, Annahstasia completed her North American tour run with a celebrated hometown show at Pico Union Project in Los Angeles and received rave reviews for her live show throughout the tour. Next, she’ll play sets at Boomtown and Latitude Festivals in Europe this month, before embarking on a full European tour in October and November.
