Sedona – She’s So Pretty

Hot off the heels of her debut record announcement, Los Angeles-born and bred songstress Sedona returns today with “She’s So Pretty” featuring Claud.

Following her Laurel-canyon-tinged single “Best Kept Secret” released last month, Sedona reveals her untamable side with a confessional, indie-rock anthem, coining a new subgenre she calls ‘pageant rock’. A nod to early-twenties angst, being broke in Brooklyn, The Swirlies, and Liz Phair, Sedona shares, “‘She’s So Pretty’ is about learning to let go of old stories, knowing your worth, and putting yourself first.”

Co-written at Claud’s Brooklyn apartment back in 2022, the two finished the song a year later when they both relocated to California. “Sedona danced in the open fire hydrant outside my apartment, then came inside and quickly belted out this song like it had already been written,” shares Claud.

Swirling guitars and radio interference carry us throughout as Sedona’s spellbinding vocals confront the mean-girl bullies of her past and look to the future with self-assured conviction. This song is her ‘note-to-self:’ “Being mistreated by someone is one thing, having the strength to stand up for yourself is another.” This song is an unvarnished, raw export from Sedona’s Brooklyn songbook. “A lot of times I write songs when I can’t get through to someone. This is one of those songs.”

Also announced today, Sedona has upcoming shows in San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Francisco before heading to Austin for SXSW!
