Loud Women Fest Australia – December 2025

Loud Women Fest Australia2

The iconic international organisation LOUD WOMEN returns to Australia this year in Sydney/Eora (Dec 7th, Crowbar) and Melbourne/Naarm (Dec 14th, The Bergy). Applications are open to all non-male-dominated bands and independent artists including women, trans, nonbinary and queer artists from any location, globally. Punk, metal, rock, and indie preferred but all applications will be considered regardless of genre.

LOUD WOMEN, the London-based intersectional feminist music collective, is thrilled to announce the second installment of LOUD WOMEN Fest Australia, taking place on December 7th & 14th 2025 at Crowbar, Sydney and The Bergy, Melbourne. This year’s festivals mark a decade of amplifying female, trans, and non-binary-powered punk, indie, and alternative music, providing a platform for underrepresented voices in the music industry.

Since 2015, LOUD WOMEN has run tastemaker events in London and New York,  showcasing hundreds of bands who have gone on to do incredible things, including Lambrini Girls & Nova Twins.

Lambrini Girls: Punk band from Brighton who first played LOUD WOMEN FEST in 2022 have developed international success and gone on to open for bands such as Soft Play & IDLES.

Nova Twins: English rock duo who first performed at LOUD WOMEN FEST in 2015 have gone on to support a diverse range of artists including YUNGBLUD, Muse & Foo Fighters.

Last year’s festival hosted in Melbourne received glowing reviews from a sold out

“My first time at LOUD WOMEN Fest was like 10 therapy sessions in one! (My therapist is on leave over Christmas so this is exactly what I needed.) I felt like I found my people and I wanted to be best friends with everyone. To feel so safe, and for all the bands to be so politically vocal and be in a crowd screaming, crying, laughing and sharing in our shared pain, anger and joy, to scream about femicide, to scream about our bodies being ours. To scream and sing and dance freely and safely in a space that was OURS without fear of men harming us. I felt safe, I felt powerful, I felt like I was in a room full of queer, feminist, lefty, witchy, gender non-conforming badass bitches who had my back and I didn’t even know them. To hear voices of indigenous women, for queer femmes on the mic to be calling out to our incarcerated sisters, to dance with my trans, NB, gay as f**k community. I just wish I could have this festival in my life every week. These were my people. I don’t belong in this world – but I felt like I came home at LOUD WOMEN.”  -Blair, audience member
