Dover Lynn Fox – Phantom Lover

Continuing the momentum from her recent release ‘Winter Son’, Canadian singer-songwriter Dover Lynn Fox is back with her latest offering ‘Phantom Lover’ on 23rd February 2024. This release marks our second look at what’s to come from her upcoming EP Low Moon, set to release in May this year.

Weaving together a tapestry of pop, folk, and Americana influences, Fox adeptly entwines stories of life’s challenges and triumphs, finding inspiration in both human experiences and the splendour of the natural world. Written from a chapter in Fox’s life, marking the end of a significant relationship, ‘Phantom Lover’ is propelled by her wistful and commanding vocals, distinguishing itself as a cathartic breakup anthem. Immersed in folklore, myth, and tall tales, this  latest offering emerges as an indie-pop power ballad,  adorned with a touch of folk essence.

Of the single, Fox says “Phantom Lover was written during a time of change, and at the end of a significant relationship. It draws from a variety of voices; those real, those imagined, from both past and present. These voices are messengers, calling and stirring you to persevere, embrace your dreams and your identity in the face of adversity and change”
