Baby Said – Mouth Shut

UK sister duo BABY SAID, Veronica and Jess Pal,  release their new single “MOUTH SHUT.”

BABY SAID, comprising the exceptionally talented Italian/Punjabi sisters Veronica and Jess Pal from Portsmouth, UK, wrote this hard-hitting rock/pop anthem during a very early writing session with Lewis Gardiner and Ryan Lawrie in Scotland.

The remarkable teenage duo’s debut single “FIGHT” hit the ground running with support from several prominent Apple Music playlists, as did follow-up single “YOU KILLED IT.”

Veronica and Jess Pal’s musical journey began at a very young age. Veronica first picked up the acoustic guitar at the age of 6, inspired by a band of guitarists she saw at church. She pursued her passion for music by completing all her guitar exams up to grade 8, transitioning from classical guitar to electric guitar. Jess, on the other hand, started playing acoustic guitar at the age of 4, often playing alongside her sister. After experimenting with keyboards and piano, Jess was drawn to the bass guitar after watching the live performance of Måneskin at Sanremo in 2021 – a performance which also inspired the band’s name.

Their journey as Baby Said was ignited after a summer of busking in 2021. Their talents were quickly recognized, bookers came running, and in just two years, they have performed at over 200 gigs all over the UK. The twosome have now been joined by two more badass female musicians, Holly Knowles (rhythm guitar and BVs) and Maddie Hackett (drums).

Armed with their latest single “MOUTH SHUT” and impending EP, WHO GIVES A ROCK, Baby Said stands poised to explode on to the world’s stages. Their anthems, infused with a potent message of self-belief and unwavering determination, resonate in the hearts of all who have dared to chase their dreams.
