“Boys Who Kiss You In Their Car,” the new song from rising artist Ber, premieres today alongside an accompanying video.

“This song was written right after I realized (ashamedly) that I may have a type,” recalls Ber. “I wanted to show another side to myself with this song, and my friends Now Now were the perfect bridge into the grungier, tongue-in-cheek world that is this song. It’s about the sea of a very specific type of boy I found myself swiping between on tinder and hinge while exploring the dating scene in Minneapolis, and after about 5 dates with different guys, where they all suggested we just “go for a drive” soundtracked by the first 1975 album, I had dubbed them the boys who kiss you in their car and written them this song.”

In addition, Ber’s tour with breakout singer/songwriter Sigrid kicks off on Sunday, September 25 at New York’s Terminal 5.

Learning how to let go is at the heart of Sigrid’s highly anticipated second album, How To Let Go, out today on Island Records. Written over a period in intense self-reflection during the pandemic, How To Let Go is a masterpiece in pop alchemy.

Today, “A Driver Saved My Night” is the latest song to be lifted from How To Let Go, an epic dance-synth tune inspired by the kindness of strangers and that moment when all you need is a taxi home; “you’re never alone when you listen to music,” says Sigrid.

Sigrid shares her new single “It Gets Dark” and announces her highly anticipated second album How To Let Go, set for release on May 6, 2022. How To Let Go is the Norwegian pop sensation’s follow up to 2019’s critically acclaimed album, Sucker Punch.

“I believe you need to feel the lows in life to feel the highs, and you have to know what sucks to then properly appreciate the good stuff.’ It Gets Dark’ is an ode to that. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever been as excited about a single release before. It’s the first song that was written for my upcoming album, and I remember the joy and relief when we figured out the soundscape. I was like FINALLY I know how this second record is going to sound! The music video is the weirdest I’ve gone visually, and I absolutely love it. We’re playing with planets, UFOs and rooms all made by hand, as well as perspective, time, and space. It’s the second time working with the brilliant Femke Huurdeman and Canada, and I’d literally do anything for that team; hence me being reborn out of a planet egg, flying in space with wind blowing in my face, punching a planet, and wearing the Saturn ring on my head. It’s as ridiculously fun as it was making it: enjoy!” – Sigrid.

The 12-track LP, How To Let Go, was written at a time where Sigrid was thinking a lot about her life in Norway and her life outside of Norway. “They’re two different things. The chill girl who loves to ski and hike and cook versus the other part of me that’s like ‘let’s go out’, or let’s play massive shows, go on stage and not be scared of anything. I used to be so shy as a kid but then when I’m on stage at Glastonbury for example, I love losing myself in it.” Sigrid comments that sometimes those personalities clash and you get confused about what makes you thrive in life, wanting both parts but realizing sometimes they don’t always align. This sense of differing perspectives and looking at the same thing from a new angle is reflected in the amazingly surrealist video for “It Gets Dark,” which was made with “Mirror” director Femke Huurdeman and CANADA (Dua Lipa, Rosalia), featuring Sigrid escaping to space.

“It’s a song about positivity and hope of what’s to come. It’s about reassurance that you can

make the choices that are best for you without the influence of others and that there are people

out there that will make you feel most like yourself.”

By her own admission, the last twelve months have been full of stand out moments for the 20

-year-old Irish, half Argentinian musician, who released three singles in 2020, largely during

lockdown. These tracks have been streamed more than 30 million times across DSPs

to date and Luz has received praise and support from almost all of her favourite musicians, including Ed Sheeran, Sigrid, Julia Michaels, Lewis Capaldi, Dermot Kennedy and Niall Horan.
