Other acts to see this year:
Bad Skin – This Montreal band recently released their single “Completely Insane.” They will be touring the UK prior to their EP release in July. #badskinband
Equal – No matter your ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, race or religion, you deserve to be treated equally- that’s what musical duo EQUAL believe.
Saleen Nolan and Chelsea Nolan, 20 and 22 years old, believe that having a platform means using it to do good – and what a platform it has truly become. #thebandequal
Housewife – Housewife is Brighid Fry (she/her) and Pascale Padilla (they/she), two queer Toronto-based songwriters who are only just getting started at 19 and 20 years old. They released “Patrick Bateman” in May. #housewife_band
King of Foxes – King of Foxes is the stage name of indie-alternative artist, Olivia Street. Delivered in a voice equal parts fierce and fragile, Street’s lyrics are poetic and evocative, deftly interwoven with seeing-eye hooks and a cogent understanding of songcraft. Think HAIM meets Waxahatchee with a touch of Liz Phair. Since launching King of Foxes, she has independently released two critically acclaimed albums. #kingoffoxesband
Neon Bloom – Neon Bloom’s Jen Simpson [vocals], Fred Yurichuk [bass], Simon Chow [guitar/keys], and Chris Romano [drums]. They released the Still Life EP, and their latest single is “A Bullet In Tomorrow.” #neonbloommusic
Velours – velours is an alt. pop singer/songwriter full of emotion, carried by a velvet voice. Her desire to explore feeling through music, while not taking things too seriously, resonates with her audience. She released her first EP Identity September 2020. #veloursartist

What is the Arts Lead Sheet? It is a resource for finding grants, jobs, opportunities in the arts. It started as an ad-hoc e-mail list a few years. We are now bringing it back as a feature on FEMMUSIC. It is not restricted to music but encompasses all of the arts. Miss something? Look at the archives at:
