Today, one of 2022’s most promising new voices Kings Elliot releases her sophomore EP Bored Of The Circus via Verve Forecast/Interscope. The EP is also available to purchase onlimited edition 10’’ vinyl. Along with the EP, Kings Elliot releases the official music video for “Ashes By The Morning.”
On the new EP, she shares, “Bored of the Circus is my realising that I need to escape my own circus, my head. Going through life, relationships and friendships when you struggle with your mind is like walking on a tightrope, constantly trying not to fall. The EP is also about me realising the need to embrace who I am rather than fighting it, even on the darkest days. There is a hopefulness that I want the songs to leave with the listener.”
Ari Lennox sophomore season kicks into overdrive today with the official release of her new single, “Hoodie,” and its electrifying music video. Even more, fans’ long-awaited hopes are finally realized: The Grammy Award-nominated and multi-platinum singer-songwriter proudly announces her sophomore album, age/sex/location, will be released on Sept. 9 via Dreamville/Interscope Records.
“Hoodie” reunites Ari with longtime Dreamville collaborator Elite, who helmed eight tracks on Ari’s 2019 album, Shea Butter Baby. Their new creation is a fawning slow-jam that proves Ari is elevating all aspects of her talents for the new era. From the first note, she snatches listeners’ attention with a cool, commanding authority and stretches her dulcet vocal range to dizzying new highs in a tune ripe for romance. The electrifying video, only ups the ante – the singer straddles atop a swimming tank and dons classy lingerie as she flirts – and does more – with her man. Hip-hop titan Isaiah Rashad co-stars as Ari’s love interest in the video, which culminates in a surprise twist ending fit for a Jordan Peele script.
Multi-Platinum producer Gryffin sets the tone for the summer with latest single “Reckless” featuring MØ via Darkroom/Interscope Records.
“I’m so excited to share Reckless with you all.” Gryffin said on the track. “MØ has been one of my favorite artists of all time, and I’ve always wanted to work on a song with her so this is a huge life goal achievement for me. This song has been 2 years in the making, and we finally felt like we nailed it. We wanted to make a song that was a pure spirited, summery, feel good vibe and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Play this one loud with the windows rolled down.”
As the first release from the recently announced partnership between MixedbyAli’s No Name Recordings/Interscope records, Shady Blu releases the official music video for debut single “Jealousy.”

Allison Ponthier‘s new EP, Shaking Hands with Elvis, will be released on June 10 via Interscope Records. The EP includes “Hardcore,” a brand-new song which Ponthier shared today.
The song, which was produced by GRAMMY® winner Ariel Rechtshaid (Vampire Weekend). In the animated video, a puppet resembling Ponthier performs “Hardcore,” accompanying herself on acoustic guitar as she sits at home alone – with a birthday banner overhead and a piñata hanging from the ceiling. The video was animated by Mero Estudio.
“The idea for ‘Hardcore’ came from the sentiment that while being tough can be admirable, there is a ruthlessness to letting yourself be emotional and vulnerable, too,” says Allison Ponthier. “The line ‘it’s hard being hardcore’ floated around in my head for months, so when Ariel, Nick Long, and I got together to write, the idea of having that lyric against Ariel’s ability to create the most warm and sentimental sounds was super exciting. Working with Ariel was amazing, especially since around that time I was constantly listening to Vampire Weekend’s Father of the Bride. And Nick has written some of my favorite songs of all time.”

Speaking about the collaboration, Tove Lo reveals, “‘How Long’ is about love, betrayal and denial. It was one of the few songs that came together for me during quarantine, and I think it’s so beautiful in all it’s darkness.
