PARTYOF2 ft Sasha Fox – Vanessa Williams

The LA-based duo PARTYOF2 return with a captivating new music video for their track “VANNESA WILLIAMS” from their critically acclaimed debut album AMERIKA’S NEXT TOP PARTY! out now via Def Jam Recordings.

Directed by the duo, the video was entirely shown on film and pays homage to Vanessa Williams herself featuring her own daughter, Sasha Fox, as a key character in the larger than life adventure that expands the themes and raw aesthetics that were unfold on their debut album. 

“In 1984 Vanessa Williams was crowned the first Black Miss America. Soon after, she was stripped of that crown and forced to relinquish the title to a white woman. This is an instance of historical white washing that has been prevalent in America since its birth. In our video, we flip the perspective, imagining SWIM as a white man, as he reflects on his experiences in America. We explore how the same words can have a different meaning, depending on the color of your skin.” – PARTYOF2
