ABIR – Love Ain’t Blind

ABIR by Jake Macgraw2

Moroccan-American r&b and pop powerhouse ABIR returns with her latest offering “Love Ain’t Blind,” the final glimpse into  her highly anticipated debut album The Game out September 10 via EMPIRE.

Following her recent single “Nothing New,” where she wrestled with the idea of staying in a toxic relationship simply because the familiar can feel safer than starting over, “Love Ain’t Blind” flips that narrative. Over bright, infectious production, ABIR confronts a toxic lover with eyes wide open, cutting through false promises and declaring a newfound clarity. She’s done mistaking empty words for love.

On the single ABIR shares, “So often you hear people say ‘love is blind’ but I really don’t believe that. I think love should see everything. This song is me reminding myself not to ignore the issues that are right in front of me just to hold onto a fantasy. It’s about taking things at face value and making decisions based on reality.”

The Game2

“Love Ain’t Blind” joins a string of recent singles including “Nothing New,” “Butterflies,” “Made For You,” and “Something Real” all leading into her forthcoming full-length album The Game. A bold and emotionally layered body of work, the project explores love as a mirror of self-reflection. Across the album, ABIR unpacks the idea that in the game of love, your true opponent is yourself. It’s a journey that demands honesty, self-awareness, and the courage to face your ego, your fears, and the patterns that no longer serve you. With The Game, ABIR reveals what it really means to show up for someone else by first learning to show up for yourself.

On her album ABIR shares, “My forthcoming album ‘The Game’ is a collection of stories I’ve lived and others I’ve watched unfold either through friends, relationships, and honestly even some of my favorite films. The album’s throughline is really about how love tends to mirror a game that’s not just with someone else, but with yourself. It’s ego, fear, and patterns that keep playing out until you learn what needs to change to break them. Each song represents a different quarter and what it takes to stick it out through every phase to hopefully come out winning.”
