On the project, Luisa blends classical sounds with modern pop elements, and explores a range of sonic landscapes: from folk to R&B, and large, ethereal ballads to quieter, more introspective pieces. The live EP was performed alongside the Dali Rose band, catapulting listeners right to Beale Street.
For EP’s deluxe track, “Mars (Live in Bushwick),” Luisa effortlessly modernizes its classic jazz structure with her witty writing and animated vocal delivery. As an artist, Luisa has one foot in the past and another in the future; and “Mars” fits perfectly in the middle.
Luisa will be taking Love & Oxygen to the live stage on Tuesday, April 14th at Brooklyn’s Union Pool, alongside performances from AJII and Ruby Alexander.
