Ashley Monroe – Getting’ Out Of Hand

Less than two weeks ago, Ashley Monroe surprise-released her brand new album Dear Nashville.

The 8-song concept album was co-written and co-produced by Monroe and Luke Laird, and marks her most urgent and quickly recorded collection to date. Today, she released the official video for “Gettin’ Out Of Hand.”
Dear Nashville arrived alongside an open letter posing a central question: “If someone is hurting us, and we don’t let them know, isn’t that on us?” While it is a concept record about Monroe’s professional relationship with Nashville, it also doubles as a romantic record, one that probes the timeless topic of unrequited love. “The bottom line of the album,” Monroe explains, “is I wish you loved me like I love you.”
The album was released on March 27 with the official video for the album’s centerpiece “I Hate Nashville,” which Billboard named one of the “Must-Hear Country Songs of the Week,” proclaiming, “In this song of self-examination, she astutely etches a distinction between the beloved styles of country music that continually inspire her musical passion and creativity.”
Next Friday, April 17, Monroe will hit the road supporting Stephen Wilson Jr. on his sold out “Gary The Torch Tour” that will make stops in Kansas City, Denver, Omaha, Madison and Chicago.
