Avishag Cohen Rodrigues – Kafa

New York–based musician and multidisciplinary artist Avishag Cohen Rodrigues has made her mark on the scene as a guitarist and collaborator with bands such as Stone Tapes, Laila, and most notably the experimental post-punk quartet Cumgirl8. Originally from Tel Aviv, she has been touring and performing internationally since the age of seventeen, while also focusing on her animations, sculptures and printmaking.

Today, Rodrigues releases anew single, “Kafa,” a blend of, “dark glitter, chocolate, and guitars” coming on Jukebox Baby Records (Berlin).

“Kafa” was recorded on the 6th floor of a small New York City apartment on a winter night, then taken to Audion studios in Berlin. The song features Omri Gondor on drums with additional production and space echoes by Ivan Berko.

This is the latest release, since her single “Some Are”, which came out in December 2024.
