Namasenda – Cola

Today, Swedish pop visionary Namasenda returns with her new single “Cola” via YEAR0001. A glossy, intoxicating rush of avant-pop, “Cola” pairs accelerated guitar arpeggios with elastic rhythms and a tectonic low-end for a sound that is sleek, hypnotic and deeply futuristic. Her first new music since 2023, the track heralds a fresh era for Namasenda.

The accompanying video sees Namasenda deploying the full force of her creative vision. Slick, precision choreography collides with unexpected industrial imagery as solar panels, towering trucks, and dramatic lighting form a hyper-stylised visual world that moves with the track’s kinetic energy.

Emerging from a small town in southern Sweden, Namasenda has become one of modern pop’s most unabashed talents. After cutting her teeth in DIY bands, she broke through in 2017 with the EP hot_babe_93, which gained traction in Sweden’s underground and led to a performance at the P3 Guld Awards. Soon after, she connected with A. G. Cook and became a defining voice on his PC Music label, releasing Unlimited Ammo in 2021, featuring collaborations including Oklou, Mowalola, Hannah Diamond and La Zowi. A vinyl edition followed soon after, selling out within days, and the project earned widespread critical acclaim and a devoted international following.

Known for her high-energy live shows, Namasenda has brought her music to stages across Europe and North America, with appearances at MELT, Pitchfork Paris, Boiler Room, Elsewhere NYC, and Primavera Sound. Beyond music, Namasenda’s influence extends deep into fashion and visual culture. She has collaborated with and fronted projects for brands including Adidas, Acne Studios, Mowalola, Gentle Monster, Telfar, Dion Lee, and Avavav, cementing her status as a singular style presence whose visual instincts are as daring and distinctive as her sound.
