Ren Genevieve – Everything I Never Said

Pop songwriter Ren Genevieve launched “Everything I Never Said,” the first chapter and title track of her upcoming sophomore EP.
Throughout the track, Genevieve confronts her truest inner world and powerlessness, pouring every regret and desire as a raw and unfiltered self-revelation.
Opening with an easy, rhythmic groove and narrative form, “Everything I Never Said” invites listeners into Ren Genevieve’s most private reflections. Built around a series of candid “I hate…” confessions, the track unravels moments of remorse and painful realization that some things can never be changed, turning them into a compelling monologue. “The song explores the impossibility of changing the past while finally confronting what was truly felt, the impact of a person, the intensity of desire, and the sting of regret,” Genevieve shares. With each repetition of “If you think this song’s about you, it probably is,” sharpens to a reckoning, as Genevieve addresses the person who shaped both her longing and her heartbreak. Approaching the finale, a quiet, stripped-back moment emerges, with softened instrumentation and subtle synth textures that express the tender nuances of Genevieve’s inner self, evoking the helplessness of facing the past and the weight of hidden emotions. Written and composed by Genevieve and produced alongside Grammy Award-winning producer Joshua Monroy (Justin Bieber, Elton John, OutKast), “Everything I Never Said” portrays Genevieve’s inner truths with striking clarity and depth, setting the stage for the first chapter of her forthcoming EP.
NYC-based singer-songwriter Ren Genevieve was born in Boston and raised across New York, Michigan, and Bermuda. Trained in classical vocals at the Manhattan School of Music Pre-College program and musical theatre at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, she built a foundation that allowed her to confidently develop her emotional expression and stage presence. Drawing inspiration from iconic pop artists such as Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, and Miley Cyrus, as well as legendary songwriters like Joni Mitchell, Ren Genevieve blends heartfelt storytelling with catchy melodies.
