Today, Swedish singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist JÁNA announces the release of her debut album Orbit, set for release September 19th.

Alongside the announcement, she shares her third single from the project, “More To Life.”

Blending strummed acoustic guitar with dreamy synths and rock-influenced drums, “More To Life” captures the emotional weight of feeling stuck in a loop. Written during a period of existential boredom, the track reflects a quiet craving for meaning beneath the surface of everyday life.

“More To Life” follows the release of “Distant”, a raw and soulful reflection on emotional numbness, and “When Time Flies”, a bittersweet meditation on love, nostalgia, and the passage of time. Each single offers a glimpse into the emotional terrain of Orbit, an album that explores disconnection, longing, growth, and self-reclamation through lush soundscapes and honest storytelling.

On “Distant,” JÁNA lays bare the flatlined aftermath of heartbreak, producing the track herself alongside Swedish producer Jonathan Börjesson, with Graciela Chin A Loi on backing vocals. The track showcases JÁNA on both guitar and bass, revealing a stripped-back vulnerability and sonic minimalism.

“When Time Flies,” created with FAMILY_TIME and Yukimi Nagano (Little Dragon), with Ben Reed (Frank Ocean) on bass and Emmanuel Hailemariam on guitar, moves through warm soul textures with a Nordic sense of stillness and melancholy. A live performance video accompanying the track features personal archival footage from JÁNA’s childhood, offering an emotional visual narrative to match the song’s nostalgic tone.

Orbit reflects a creative evolution for JÁNA, who has reconnected with her roots as a guitarist and self-producing artist. After time spent writing in Los Angeles, collaborating in Gothenburg with Little Dragon, and crafting music independently in Stockholm, she emerges with a sound that’s more honest and present than ever.

With past collaborations with the likes of Little Dragon, Vic Mensa, and VanJess, and a songwriting credit on Stormzy’s acclaimed album This Is What I Mean, JÁNA has steadily built an international reputation. She has appeared on BBC Radio 1, COLORSXSTUDIOS, and Spotify’s Oyster initiative, and performed at major festivals including SXSW, All Points East, and Way Out West, sharing stages with artists such as Leon Bridges and Little Dragon.
