Santamonica – Sin

Following the release of “Aquarius” and the Reminisce 189 mini album in 2023, Santamonica re-emerges with “SIN”, a new single that delves deeper into the quiet unraveling of feminine fury —born from carrying the weight of sin that was shaped by patriarchy and myths.
Written by Sistine (Anindita Saryuf) and produced with Joseph Saryuf, “SIN” is both a standalone piece and a part of the duo’s upcoming full-length album Wunderkammer —the spiritual sequel to their debut Curiouser and Curiouser. Originally written in 2008, “SIN” reflects a longstanding restlessness — a slow-burning anger at the quiet, persistent double standards women are expected to live with.
Set against a brooding, textural landscape, the lyrics read like fragmented scripture. This is not a song about redemption — it’s about recognition. About how women continue to face a system that has judged them for far too long. There is no scream here, only a voice that sings quietly as the world slowly falls apart. Strangely prophetic, the song’s imagery predates the themes later echoed in pop culture.
