Raegan – Longing & Lament

Rising genre-defier RAEGAN is back with her most vulnerable and theatrical offering yet. Out today, “LONGING & LAMENT” marks the beginning of a bold new era for the artist: one that fuses the grandiosity of musical theatre with forward-thinking pop production and unfiltered emotion. A sweeping piano and string-driven track layered with trap beats and dynamic vocal delivery, the single captures RAEGAN in her element – raw, dramatic, and wholly original.
“‘LONGING & LAMENT’ is about the all-consuming need to be loved,” RAEGAN shares. “I wrote it to feel like I was standing on stage with mascara running down my face, begging for someone’s attention while everyone else in the crowd was screaming for an encore. It’s dramatic, to say the least.”
The music video for “LONGING & LAMENT” is a spectacle, part music video, part mockumentary, with additional chapters to follow in upcoming visuals. Funny, dramatic, and unapologetically theatrical, it blends musical elements with a playful, over-the-top narrative. RAEGAN stars alongside her real-life girlfriend, who plays her love interest, in a video filled with dramatic dance numbers and captivating choreography. RAEGAN’s Old Hollywood-inspired glam adds a timeless touch to her modern Broadway-Pop sound, making for a truly captivating visual experience.
Following a quiet period of reflection and reinvention, RAEGAN steps back into the spotlight with a clear artistic vision. “I’ve been gone for a while, behind the scenes, working endlessly to create my new music and find myself as the artist I am today,” she shared on social media. “For so long, I thought I had to choose between being a music artist and being a musical theatre performer. But now I’ve found the balance – both worlds are holding hands and coexisting.” With this evolution comes a fitting new title: Broadway Pop Princess.
RAEGAN made her official debut with the EP FUCK RAEGAN, a genre-bending and unpredictable six-track journey through her psyche.
