Jolin – Pleasure

Global pop icon and Queen of C-pop JOLIN makes her long-awaited return with “Pleasure”, the lead single from her forthcoming 2025 album, her first full-length release in six years. Dropping May 27th, “Pleasure” marks her most provocative sonic and visual evolution yet, boldly positioning JOLIN for her largest global release to date.
Co-written with Ross Golan (Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Maroon 5) and Richard Craker (JOLIN’s longtime collaborator), “Pleasure” is a genre-bending techno-house anthem that dives headfirst into the duality of desire and shame. The track pulses with a serpentine synth bass and lyrics that challenge repression with a whisper and a roar. From its opening command of “Call me Mommy,” JOLIN transforms into a dominant, maternal guide through a labyrinth of liberation, guilt, and self-discovery.
“Some songs are written. Others demand to be born. ‘Pleasure’ was the latter,” says JOLIN. “I wanted to explore the voice inside me that had been silenced. The woman I am now no longer needs permission to feel joy, power, or hunger. ‘Pleasure’ is about reclaiming that.”
JOLIN’s upcoming album is the culmination of nearly a decade of journaling, reflection, and personal evolution. Building on the inner reckoning of her Ugly Beauty era, the new record channels influences ranging from Dante and medieval poetry to modern psychology, transforming the Seven Deadly Sins into metaphors for emotional need and spiritual longing. “Through that lens,” JOLIN says, “every flaw becomes fertile ground. Pleasure isn’t about indulgence. It’s about truth.”
