Kilo Kish – enough

Visionary artist Kilo Kish will release her highly anticipated EP, Negotiations, this Friday, May 16th, on Independent Co.

Kish continues to amplify her forward-thinking and advanced creative mind with this poignant body of work, a deep and thought-provoking dive into the nuances of technology and the larger role it has within creativity. Today, she shares the final tease of the EP with the focus track “enough,” a hypnotic dance cut that delivers a striking commentary on the universal desire for validation.
“This song is kind of about throwing things at the wall to see what sticks, and the fantasy that we play out on the internet, how things are not always as they seem. Wanting the affection and love of complete strangers, but not really knowing why. The need for viewership and adoration that’s become a mainstay in the way we live nowadays, not just as artists but as everyday people,” shares Kish.
As with her previous releases, “enough” arrives with a powerful visual, co-directed by Kish and David Laven and produced by Even/Odd. The video is part of a suite of interconnected films accompanying the Negotiations EP, all shot within the same immersive world. “enough” breaks the sonic fourth wall, evoking a sense of uneasiness as it plays with the viewer’s auditory senses. It calls back to the EP’s first visual, “reprogam,” where Kish danced alone in a stark, gray office. Here, we return to that setting — this time, an older man oscillates between listening to music on his laptop and hearing it as part of his internal dialogue, while Kish, a quiet observer in the background, remains unfazed.
